The predicted cutoff percentile for General Category candidates in the top IIMs for the CAT 2022 exam is between 98 and 100 percent. The predicted 95-100 percentile range for all categories for the CAT cut offs for admission to the IIMs in 2022.For students in the Reserved category, the cutoffs may be lower. The CAT cut offs for 2022 will be significantly lower for new and infant IIMs across the board.

All IIMs had 90 to 100 percentile CAT cutoffs for 2021. Due to the exam’s consistency in difficulty between 2020 and 2021, the cutoffs did not change from the prior year.

The final CAT cut offs are only made public after the result announcement and/or at the time of PI shortlisting, unlike the IIMs and other prestigious MBA institutions like FMS, SPJIMR, IMT, and MICA who release the qualifying CAT cut offs for WAT-PI shortlisting well in advance of the result announcement. The required minimum score for MBA admission is determined by the qualifying CAT cut offs. Each IIM has different qualifying CAT cut offs that are used to choose applicants for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The IIMs’ CAT 2022 cutoffs range from 75 to 90 percentile.
