The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level entrance examination taken by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Before 2018, it was conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in accordance with the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) of the Government of India. The CMAT is held in over 100 cities across India. Every year, over 60,000 MBA aspirants take the CMAT exam.
All AICTE-approved/affiliated institutes recognise CMAT scores. CMAT is used for admission to over 1000 institutes in India. The exam is less tough than entrance exams such as the CAT, XAT, and a few others. Every year, more MBA aspirants choose CMAT because of its scope and level.
CMAT – Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an aptitude test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBA/PGDM courses at many B-Schools across India. The CMAT question paper consists of 100 questions from Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness. The new section, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship is an optional section carrying 25 questions. The total mark of CMAT is 500. CMAT is conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode and the duration of the exam is three hours.
