Below are some updates noted in the official SSC CGL 2024 Exam notification:
- The positions for Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer are not announced this year, resulting in the exclusion of Paper-III in the Tier-II Exam.
- Candidates are no longer required to upload a pre-existing photograph. Instead, they must stand or sit before the camera when prompted by the application module.

Educational Qualification:
- General Posts: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer: Bachelor’s degree along with CA/CS/MBA/Cost & Management Accountant/Masters in Commerce or Business Studies.
- Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% in Maths in 12th or a degree with Statistics as a subject.
- Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Graduation with Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics.
- Research Assistant in NHRC: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one year of research experience.

SSC CGL 2024 Application Fee
The candidates have to pay Rs. 100/- while submitting their application form online at www.ssc.gov.in. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM are eligible for reservation and are exempted from payment of application fees. The last date to pay the application fee is 25th July 2024 (11 pm). The application fee has to be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards only.

Aspirants can follow the below mentioned steps to submit their online forms successfully.
- Visit the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in or click on the direct link provided above.
- If you are a new user, register yourself by providing the essential information and providing the authentic email ID and phone number.
- Login to your account by entering the user ID and password you received on your registered email ID.
- Fill out the SSC CGL application form accurately.
- Upload the required documents in the specified format and size. Ensure that the photograph is in JPEG format and between 20 KB and 50 KB. Similarly, the SSC CGL signature size should be between 10 KB and 20 KB.

SSC CGL Selection Process 2024
Two years ago, SSC revised the selection process, and now only two-tier exams will be conducted to shortlist candidates for various Group B and C posts under the SSC CGL Notification 2024. SSC CGL 2024 Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated below:
Stage 1 Tier-I: Computer-Based Examination (Qualifying in nature).
Stage 2 Tier-II: Paper I (Compulsory for all posts), Paper II for candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
• All candidates who have applied successfully for the SSC CGL exam, will be assigned Roll numbers and Admit Cards for appearing in the Computer-Based Examination (Tier-I).
• Based on the marks scored in Tier-I, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations.
• Separate cut-offs will be released separately for Paper-II of Tier-II (i.e. for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), and for Paper-I of Tier-II (i.e. for all other posts).
• Tier-II Examinations will be conducted for all the candidates qualified in Tier-I.
• In Tier II, all the candidates will be required to appear in Paper-I and Paper-II. However, only specific candidates shortlisted for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) will be required to appear in Paper-II.
What is SSC CGL Salary?
The salary varies depending on the post for which the candidate is selected. For Group A posts, the initial salary ranges from Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month. For Group B posts, the salary falls between Rs. 35,400 and Rs. 1,12,400 per month. For Group C posts, the salary ranges from Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam pattern. The SSC CGL Exam now consists of two tiers: Tier 1 and Tier 2.
