Eligibility Requirements for the General Purpose Rating Training Course

Eligibility criteria for Diploma Nautical Science Course

Eligibility Criteria of Electro Technical Officer Course

Eligibility Criteria of Graduate Marine Engineering Course

A) Educational | 1) A candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechanical & Automation, or Naval Architecture Engineering after attending a course of 4 years duration, from a UGC recognized University and or approved by AICTE, with minimum marks of 50% in the final year |
2) English should have been passed with a minimum of 50% marks as a subject, either in 10th or 12th standard or in degree examination. | |

Medical Eligibility Criteria
Physical Standards | 1) Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under the standard norm, with eyesight up to 6/6 in the better eye and 6/9 in the worst eye. |
2) NO COLOR BLINDNESS by Ishihara chart. Partial Colour Blindness is also not acceptable. | |
3) The D.G. Shipping Medical Certificate must be issued by D.G. Shipping Approved Doctors, under the specified medical examination requirements. | |

How To Apply
Step 1: Submit your application and pay the examination fees for your desired course online at geinstitute.com
Step 2: Candidates will be sent a link via email to participate in an online test, which can be completed from any location. It is essential to ensure a stable internet connection for the examination. The email will include login information and further instructions. It’s crucial to submit accurate contact information (email and phone number) during the application process. The institute’s assessment partners will dispatch the examination link.
Know the Step-by-step admission process to join GEIMS:
Step 1: You should meet the specified cut-offs (outlined in the Online Examination Section), you will be sent an email invitation to attend a Personal Interview in either Mumbai or Lonavala. Venue information will be included in the email. The choice of interview location is predetermined solely by GEIMS, and candidates will not have the option to select their preferred venue.
Step 2: Candidates who successfully pass the personal interview will be required to take a medical examination conducted by a doctor appointed by the company.
Step 3: The institute will publish a merit list on its website, incorporating previous academic achievements, online examination results, interview performance, and outcomes of the medical examination.
Step 4: Candidates who are included in the merit list will be required to submit a reservation fee to secure their seats.
Step 5:Upon receipt of the booking fee, candidates will be provided with a sponsorship letter, which can then be used to secure loans.
Step 6: Candidates will be provided with joining instructions along with a list of documents required for submission prior to their enrollment.
Step 7: Candidates are required to arrive at GEIMS, Lonavala, on the morning that their course begins. The specific reporting date and time will be communicated to the candidates in advance.
