The CAT 2023 registration period will open on August 3, 2023, and close on September 21 or 23 of that same year. The official IIM CAT website, is the only place where you may access the CAT form 2023. You must upload scanned copies of your photo and signature that meet the requirements set forth by IIM in order to finish the CAT exam registration procedure.

CAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

You must possess a bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited university with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ ST/ PwD) in order to apply. Final-year students are also eligible to apply for the CAT exam in 2023, provided they meet the minimal grade requirements for admission.

CAT 2023 Exam Syllabus

Although the exam’s syllabus is not predetermined by IIMs, it generally assesses a candidate’s verbal and reading comprehension skills, quantitative aptitude, and their ability to interpret data and use logic. The CAT exam syllabus has seen significant alteration during the past five years. Major adjustments to the Syllabus 2023 include:

• The syllabus has been revised, and it now includes a variety of questions that include MCQs and non-MCQs.
• 25–30% of questions no longer carry a penalty.
• As more questions are focused on reading comprehension than verbal ability, the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension Sections of the syllabus have undergone the most changes.
• The Quantitative Ability component of the syllabus has seen some revisions, with an increased emphasis on questions requiring arithmetic.
