2) US-built supercomputer titled ‘Frontier’ dethroned Japan’s ‘Fugaku’ (developed by the Riken Institute and Fujitsu), as the world’s fastest machine with 1.1 exaflops of performance on the 59th TOP500 list published by an international conference of computer experts.
3) The Union Cabinet approved a proposal to expand the mandate of Government e-Marketplace (GeM) by allowing procurement by cooperatives.
4) Uttar Pradesh Hockey successfully defended their Crown with a win over Hockey Chandigarh in the Final of the 12th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship 2022 in Kovilpatti, Tamil Nadu.
5) Senior scientist Rajesh Gera has been appointed as the Director General, National Informatics Centre (NIC). Gera is currently Deputy Director General in the NIC.
➨The NIC, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), was established in 1976 with the objective to provide technology-driven solutions to central and state governments.

7) India won its first ever medal at the IBSA Judo Grand Prix, held in Nur Sultan, Kazakhstan.
➨ The Indian Blind and Para Judo Association’s Judoka Kapil Parmar won the bronze medal in the event.
8) Ashwani Bhatia took charge as a whole time member (WTM) at market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
➨ Bhatia was previously the managing director of state-owned State Bank of India (SBI).

9) Mukesh Ambani has surpassed Gautam Adani to regain the spot of Asia’s and India’s richest man.
➨As per Bloomberg Billionaire index, RIL Chairman Ambani has gained the eighth spot in the world’s richest as his net worth stands at $99.7 billion.
10) The National Health Authority (NHA) has announced the successful integration of National Telemedicine Service- eSanjeevani with its flagship scheme- Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
11) Every year on June 4th, the United Nations (UN) observes the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression to raise awareness of the children who have been victims of physical, mental, and emotional abuse around the world.
➨ On this day, the United Nations reaffirms its commitment to preserve children’s rights.
12) IPS officer Sujoy Lal Thaosen took charge as the new director general (DG) of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), which guards Indian frontiers with Nepal and Bhutan.
13) Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A), in collaboration with agri-land marketplace SFarmsIndia, has announced the launch of IIMA-SFarmsIndia Agri Land Price Index (ISALPI).
➨ The first-of-its-kind land price index will record and present ‘quality controlled’ data of prices of agricultural land across the country.
